ABOUT
A Passionate Instrumental Music Artist
Mark McDowell is a native of Harrisbug, PA but has called Orlando, FL home since 2001. Fascinated by the guitar from the age of 8, Mark has spent his life mastering his craft. His education at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia has given him the flexibility to fill as a substitute at a moment's notice. While electric and acoustic guitar are Mark's favorite instruments, he also is well versed in bass guitar and banjitar.
In addition to performing, Mark also writes and arranges music in different styles for many diverse projects. He has been the musical director of several Orlando-area productions, most notably at Orando Fringe Festival.

COLLABORATIONS
Shameless Namedropping
Mark spent most of the 1990's as an international touring musician, playing with several R&B and party bands such as Rapture, Mannequin and Radio Days before settling in Orlando. He performed regularly with Off-Kilter at Walt Disney World's EPCOT theme park and has performed with other live bands at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, entertaining thousands of families for many years.
As the head writer for his country comedy band, Whiskey Sharts, Mark has created a separate persona named Trace Crooks and has explored his love of puppetry to add a unique and humorous twist to the band's backstory.
Mark has also performed with local favorites The Leonard Brothers Band, Blue Stone Circle, Soul Funktion, Sounds of the Seasons, Six Strings Attached, All Night Groove, Acoustik Groove, Tod Kimbro, Megan McCauley, TheatreWorks FL, and was honored to play with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
